## What happens when a pull request merges

With the GitHub App installed, usedocs reads each merged pull request and published release. If the change touches something an article describes, such as a setting, a limit, or a flow, it opens a proposed edit on that article in Doc health and Drafts. The proposal shows the pull request, the files, the reason, and the new text.

## Scheduled checks

Some drift never goes through a pull request. usedocs also checks each live article against your code and website on a schedule, and proposes a fix for anything that no longer matches. Run a check on one article, or on all of them, from Doc health.

## Reviewing an edit

Accept, edit, or dismiss. Accepting updates the live article and keeps the previous text in version history, so you can restore it. If someone changed the article after the edit was proposed, usedocs warns you before overwriting. Translations of an accepted article are updated for the languages set to translate automatically.

## Optional pull request comments

Turn on "Comment on pull requests" in Doc automations to get one comment on each pull request that changes something customers read, listing the affected articles. It is off by default. See [how usedocs handles your code](/docs/code-handling).
