## Languages

Set a primary language in Help center → Translate, then add up to 4 more on Growth. Readers switch languages from the help center sidebar, and the help center's own labels (search, navigation, buttons) change with the articles. Base languages only, such as French or Spanish, not regional variants.

## Automatic or manual

An automatic language translates every live article and collection when you add it, and again each time an article is published. Choose whether those translations publish right away or wait in Drafts for review; a live translation that needs an update gets a proposed edit and stays online until you approve it. A manual language only translates when you ask from an article's settings.

## Guidance and glossary

Each language has guidance for tone and wording, such as "use the formal vous". The glossary lists terms to keep as written, like your product name, or to always translate a certain way in each language.

## Removing a language

Removing a language takes its live articles offline and keeps them as drafts, so you can add the language back later. Nothing is deleted.
