Friendly Help URLs, Draftable Changelogs, and New Signup Emails

We’ve made a few updates to help you share information more clearly and keep new users engaged. Your help center now works with readable slugs, changelog entries can be drafted before they go live, and new sign‑ups get a warm welcome plus a helpful follow‑up. Here’s what’s new.

  • Custom Help Slug: Use a simple, memorable slug in your public help URLs instead of the bot ID.
  • Changelog Drafts: Write and preview changelog entries in a draft mode before publishing.
  • Public Changelog Pages: Share changelog updates at /changelog/{slug} with a dedicated Documentation tab.
  • Welcome & Follow‑up Emails: New users receive a friendly welcome email and a helpful follow‑up the next day.

Custom Help Slug

You can now set a help slug for your bot. Once defined, the public help URL changes from

/help/{botId} to /help/{your‑slug}. All help articles will be reachable at URLs like

/help/{your‑slug}/article. If you haven’t set a slug yet, the system will continue to use the bot ID, so existing links keep working.

The slug can be entered during onboarding or later in the Help Center settings. It also works with custom domains, giving you clean, brand‑consistent URLs.

Changelog Drafts

Creating a changelog entry is now a two‑step process. First, save your entry as a draft to see how it looks and make any adjustments. When you’re ready, publish it and it will appear at a public URL such as /changelog/{slug}. This gives you confidence that the wording and formatting are just right before your users see it.

Public Changelog Pages

Every published changelog entry gets its own public page under the /changelog/{slug} path. In the Documentation section of the dashboard you’ll also find a new Changelog tab, making it easy for you and your users to browse the history of updates.

Welcome & Follow‑up Emails

New users now receive a warm welcome email from usedocs‑voiced right after signing up, followed by a helpful follow‑up email the next day. These messages introduce key features and tips, helping users get the most out of the platform from day one.

Other improvements

  • Changelog notes now use the same clean sans‑serif font as the rest of the dashboard for a consistent look.

No action is required on your part; the new features are available immediately. Enjoy the smoother experience!
